This week we are highlighting LCD Public Displays in the 46″ Full HD category covering sizes 43.5″ to 48.49″ with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are 11 brands featured in the advertising. Samsung is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, LG is second and NEC Displays is third. In France, Samsung leads followed by NEC Displays in second and ViewSonic in third. In Germany, Samsung is again top followed by LG in second and BenQ in third and in the UK, Samsung it top with NEC Displays in second and Philips in third.
Over the three countries, Samsung takes the top position with the ED46D followed by ViewSonic’s CDE4600-L in second and Samsung’s UD46C in third. In France, Samsung’s ED46D is top with ViewSonic’s CDE4600-L in second and the Philips BDL4660EL in third. In Germany, Samsung’s UD46C leads with LG taking the next two positions with the 47WV50MS-B and the 47WV50BR-B. In the UK, the three leading models were NEC Displays’ MultiSync E464, Samsung’s ED46D and NEC Displays MultiSync V463.
The average dollar price was down 7% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 19% YoY, while in Germany it was down 4% and in the UK it was down 12%. The minimum price in January for a 46″ Full HD LCD Public Display was $621.51 excluding tax.
