This week we are highlighting LCD monitors in the 17″ standard category. There are 10 brands featured in the advertising with NEC Displays, Iiyama and BenQ the top three. In France, Iiyama was top followed by Lenovo in second and Acer, HP and NEC Displays in joint third. In Germany, Iiyama leads followed by NEC Displays in second and BenQ in third and in the UK, NEC Displays was top followed by BenQ in second and Acer and Lenovo in joint third. Over the three countries, BenQ’s BL702A is top followed by Iiyama’s ProLite B1780SD-1 in second place and NEC Displays’ LCD 175M-BK third. In France, Iiyama takes the top two positions with the ProLite B1780SD-1 followed by Acer’s VL176LBMD in third. In Germany, Iiyama’s is top with the ProLite B1780SD-1 followed by BenQ’s BL702A in second and NEC Displays’ LCD 175-BK in third spot, while in the UK, the top three models were BenQ’s BL702A, NEC Displays’ LCD 175-BK and Acer’s V176LBMD.
The average dollar price was up 15% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was up 13% YoY, while in Germany it was up 12% and in the UK it was up 14%. The minimum price in March for a 17″ standard LCD monitor was $89.18 plus tax.
