DXOMark is planning a webinar to look in detail at the ‘Smartphone Flagship Battle’ on 31st August. The panel includes experts from Yole Développement, System Plus, and DXOMark and will look at devices from Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei.
The aim is to give insights into these brands’ design choices, manufacturing technologies, supply chains and costs that went into making of cameras of their latest flagship models. Devices from the brands will be compared, using detailed optical and scanning electron microscope images of the modules and the image sensors.
DXOMark will share its views on the trends, disparities, and technical challenges facing the industry—from specifications to photo and video quality.

What We Think
Cameras are currently the main differentiators, but DXOMark is, these days, conducting detailed tests on other aspects including displays, so it would be surprising if they were not covered. (BR)
