DSCC updated its Q3 2021 OLED Shipment Report that showed that OLED shipments were up 36% compared to 2020 in Q2, although down 10% on Q1 2021. It forecast that Q3 would be up by 26% on Q2 and 28% year on year because of new OLED smartphones from Samsung and expected new handsets from Apple and Google. However, Q4 will decline by 1% compared to last year, when Apple’s launch schedule for the iPhone 12 was later than usual.
