The US Department of Transportation (DOT), with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have banned the carriage of Samsung Note 7 devices in aircraft because of the problems of the phone catching fire. Flight crew finding the model have been instructed to keep the phones on their person.
Airlines around the world followed the FAA. They include Singapore Airlines, Qantas and Air Berlin.
