Chinese smartphone maker, Doogee, has a new rugged smartphone on its way. The V20 unit is unusual in that it is claimed to use an AMOLED display. It will be certified to IP68 for waterproofing, IP69K for high pressure water sprays, and drop tested to Mil-std 810G up to 1.5m. The smartphone is also able to stand a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C.
What We Think
Doogee is releasing the specification of this phone in small parts. It has shown the image below as the ‘rear display’ which suggests that the device has dual displays. I suspect that it’s the rear display that is the OLED as I have seen leaks of information that the main screen is a 6.39″ IPS LCD. The leak also said that it has a removable 8500mAh battery.
