What They Say
In looking around for some information related to the coverage last year by Information Display of Display Week, I stumbled on the most recent edition of the publication which includes details of the Display of the Year Award, which does not yet seem to have been press released. The winners were:
DISPLAYS OF THE YEAR
- 65?Inch Rollable TV from LG Display
- Q8 Series MiniLED TV from TCL Electronics Holdings
DISPLAY APPLICATIONS OF THE YEAR
- Oculus Quest 2 from Facebook
- Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold from Lenovo Group
DISPLAY COMPONENTS OF THE YEAR
- Xensation Flex Ultra?Thin Cover Glass from Schott
- SigmaDrive SDC100 Touch Controller from SigmaSense
What We Think
Well, I have no argument with these winners. The LG TV is a clearly amazing product, although volumes sold have been small so far. In the components section, I was pleased that SigmaSense had done well. I was very impressed with the company’s demoes at CES in 2020 and said so. It seems it might really be as good as it looked!
