Displaymate’s Ray Soneira has published the results of tests of the Xiaomi M11 Ultra and Pro versions, after covering the M11 base unit back a couple of months ago.
The two smartphones win Ray’s top A+ rating and achieve peak brightness of 1,782 cd/m² (low APL) and 991 cd/m² for full screen. Colour coverage is 111% of DCI-P3 and 140% of Rec. 709. Screen reflectance is 4.4% and contrast in ambient light is 225 for 100% APL and 405 for Peak Brightness.
What We Think
We missed out on a couple of these reviews as Ray has started separating out its tests for global handsets, rather than being aimed at US audiences. I followed up on the lack of tests of the latest Samsung smartphones. As expected, it seems there is less enthusiasm to have Samsung’s handsets tested when other brands are using the same displays and have similar performance. (BR)
