This is hardly a surprise. 3D TV in the home has been dead in the water for some time, to the extent that ‘3D TVs’ aren’t being advertised in stores any more – they’re just TVs that support 3D. The need to wear special glasses, lack of content and inability for some people to see a significant difference in the 3D effect – I am one of them – killed the 3D format. Of course, like Stream TV, some companies are still making progress in the space. (TA)
