DirecTV added 149,000 subscribers in Q4’14, the company has said, ending the year with 20.35 million US subscribers. 903,000 subscribers joined the company in Latin America. CEO Mike White cautioned that OTT margins are “pretty thin”, and said “it’s not clear to me that it’s a particularly profitable idea”. He added that DirecTV was prepared to supply UltraHD, whether it is through VoD or linear streaming.
