Dell Widens Gamut and Size

A 2015 version of Dell’s Ultrasharp U2414H (Display Monitor Vol 20 No 38) has appeared on the company’s Chinese website. While similar to last year’s product, the display on the U2415H has been changed. It has a 24.1″ diagonal, rather than 23.8″, and now has 1920 x 1200 resolution, up from 1920 x 1080. 99% sRGB is covered, rather than 96%.

We hear that the bezel is 6.9mm thick, which is slightly wider than the U2414H’s 6mm. However, this measurement also includes the monitor’s inner border. Like its predecessor, the stand is capable of tilt, swivel, pivot and height adjustment. Additionally, as an Ultrasharp model, the U2415H is factory calibrated, with a Delta E of <3.

A feature that was not present on the 2014 model is a flicker-free LED backlight, achieved through DC manipulation instead of PWM. The backlight itself supplies between 50 cd/m
