There were more than 4 million pre-orders for Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the first 24 hours after the products were announced. The figure is a new record for Apple, according to CEO Tim Cook. Supply of almost all versions is now backlogged until late September (16GB silver and space grey) or early October (16GB gold and all 64GB/128GB models). Rolling out in 10 markets on 19th September, the phone will reach another 20 countries – mainly in Europe and the Middle East – on 26th September.
