The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) will increase awareness and encourage ownership of Ultra HD devices and content at the 4K Ultra HD Summit on November 6th at Skirball Cultural Centre in Los Angeles, in partnership with the Ultra HD Alliance.
The summit will promote the benefits of UHD TVs and content, HDR and new products releasing in the holiday buying season. The programme will focus on advancements in UHD technology, increasing consumer adoption of the technology, ease of operation for consumers and the widening availability of content.
During the Summit, DEG will present the Vanguard Award to a filmmaker at the forefront of UHD technology. Participants will include studios and independent content suppliers, CE manufacturers, retailers of UHD devices and content, digital distribution services, the Hollywood creative community and the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA).
