We reported on a new line of 0.9mm to 1.5mm LEDs from Daktronics, but were short of detail.(Daktronics LED launch leverages new technology ) The firm sent these through, so they are below. All the line use 4-in-one LED configurations which increases the solder area to attach the LEDs and makes the display more robust. The LEDs have extra tinting to boost contrast by reducing the black level.
What We Think
Brightness is quite limited at just 600 cd/m² although that would look good if there’s not too much ambient light. (BR)
