Cyberlink’s PowerDVD has been certified for playback of ultra HD Blu-ray discs, which the company claims is a first for a software media player. This will allow PC users with the right hardware to access 4K Blu-ray material in its native resolution. Although the product is available now, support features won’t be working until the beginning of 2017.
