CSOT Expects Chinese TV to Be Self Sufficient

By Bob Raikes

Following TCL’s announcement that it would soon start construction of a G11 plant through its CSOT subsidiary in Shenzen in China (and which will have more capacity than BOE’s G10.5, following an investment of $7.8 billion), there are reports from Asia that CSOT believes the self sufficiency of the Chinese TV market for panels will rise to 100%. CSOT estimates the balance at 85% in 2017.
