What They Say
Tom’s Hardware published a number of interesting charts and (several) tables on the growth in AMD’s market share compared to Intel in recent years. The chart suggests that over the last couple of quarters, growth in share in a couple of segments has slowed, although server applications have continued to grow. Mercury Research pointed out that AMD had sold more higher end processors recently, so revenue share may have grown, event though volume may not have.

Not our usual beat, but this looked like interesting data which illuminates the struggles that Intel is going through at the moment. (BR)
