Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT) saw sales and shipments fall in April, both sequentially and year on year. Sales for last month were down 9.4% sequentially and 6.9% year on year at NT$4.1 billion ($133.1 million). For the first four months of the year, CPT’s cumulative sales were down 10.5% from the same period of last year at NT$17.4 billion ($565.1 million).
The company shipped 110,000 large panels in April, 11.3% lower than March and 28.1% down on April 2014, and 483,000 panels so far in 2015. Shipments of small and medium panels declined 5.3% MoM and 7% YoY to 35.5 million units, bringing shipments for the first four months to 133.7 million units.
