In hall 22, visitors can discover the exciting new line-up of Philips monitors, including an expansive collection of curved displays, High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology for better-than-ever contrast and colour, resolutions of the future with 8K clarity, and impressive display solutions for professionals.
Curves, colour and entertainment
The 2017-2018 Philips monitors line-up clearly demonstrates a commitment to curved design and outstanding colour reproduction. More models have been added to the already expansive range of curved displays, from 27 to 49 inches in size. Visitors can experience first-hand the increased focus and immersion effect that are possible with these displays – even when surrounded by the noise at a busy tradeshow.
What is more, the comprehensive curved line-up also features the latest colour technologies. One standout colour reproduction technology featured in the Philips monitors is HDR, which offers expanded colour depth and brilliance – great news for video and entertainment. Also on show: Ultra Wide-Color and Quantum Dot technologies which are interesting for home as well as professional use, e.g. for designers and photographers.
Looking to new horizons: 8K resolution, connectivity and multi-screen
As 4K moves more into the mainstream, Philips monitors with an even higher resolution are now on the horizon: 8K. The future 8K UHD resolution has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of 4K UHD, with four times as many pixels in total. Visitors to the IFA stand can experience the precision of 8K first hand.
The 4-sided frameless design will be a new form factor for the upcoming professional Philips displays line-up and creates a truly seamless appearance, making them ideal for a multi-monitor or tiled setup on desks.
Furthermore most of the upcoming professional Philips monitors are equipped with USB-C and provide full docking functionality and generous connectivity to match the new notebook standard and the needs of a flexible working environment.
