Chinese smartphone brands see shipments decline in 3Q22, says DIGITIMES Research

What They Say

Digitimes Research said that Chinese smartphone brands are likely to have shipped around 140 million units in Q3, down 5.5% sequentially and 18.2% YoY, quoting Digitimes Research as the source. The drop is a result of weak demand and a desire to reduce inventory in the whole supply chain. Oppo was up on Q2, but Xiaomi and Vivo declined. The three accounted for 65.4% of all smartphones shipped by China-based companies, up from the second quarter’s 63.6%.

Separately, GSMArena reported on a leak of specs of the Oppo Find N2 Flip folding device.

What We Think
