What They Say
Hisense announced at CES that it has developed three TVs with support for ATSC 3.0, the first Chinese brand to do so. The three TVs are the U7H ($800), U8H ($1,100) and U9H ($3,200) and will be available between mid- and late-summer. The pricing is claimed to be among the most affordable ATSC 3.0 sets announced. The U6H does not support ATS3.0.
The U9H also has miniLED technology, the first time for Hisense.
What We Think
It will be interesting to see if ATSC 3.0 can maintain its momentum with the huge move to streaming services. I’m not close enough to the US TV market to know that. (BR)
