Ceconomy is now using digital price-tags in its Media Markt and Saturn electronics stores, creating uniformity between the chains’ online storefronts and bricks-and-mortar shops. This project was regarded as one of the largest for ESLs to have rolled out in Europe so far. As we heard it, the coordination of the instore pricing data to online was a secondary benefit. The primary driver was to ensure that the shelf and tills were the same, to ensure compliance with consumer legislation in various countries. (BR)
