Nikkei has reported that BOE is close to starting to ship OLED panels in volume from its B7 factory in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. The company told Nikkei that it plans to make its first shipments at the end of October, with staff working through the National Day holiday to get volume shipping as early as possible. The first panels will be supplied to smartphone makers in China.
Analyst Comment
The company said that it started making some panels back in June (BOE Starts Flexible OLED Production), but it always takes time to ramp up to volume. (BR)
