BOE put out a statement reported by the Global Times claiming that it hit the top spot in terms of TV panel supply, with shipments of 12.5 million in Q1.
However, we checked with our friends at IHS Markit, and found that BOE had underestimated the shipments from LG Display, which IHS ranks at just under 12.5 million, while it shows BOE at around 12.2 million, in second place. On the other hand, BOE is in top place for monitor and notebook panels and also the overall volume, which IHS counts as 37.6 million.
