In addition to the above, more Black Friday deals have been revealed, by various US retailers.
Amazon has opened a dedicated Black Friday store (http://tinyurl.com/ogoh6v3), where deals are highlighted. Top picks include 30% off of multiple TVs – including Sony’s 55″ UltraHD X900C, with Blu-ray player and Samsung’s curved 65″ UltraHD JU6700 – and discounts on projectors. Optoma’s HD37, for example, is available now for $950 – 53% off of the retail price. In total, 25 UltraHD TVs, all at least 55″, have been marked down.
Costco is offering its own UltraHD TV discounts, ranging from $90 off of a 43″ Vizio model (now $490) to $1,200 off of a 75″ Samsung set (now $2,580). It appears that these are the only two brands enjoying discounts at this point in time. However, Sam’s Club has also lowered the price of Vizio TVs; $300 has been taken off of the 65″ D65U-D2 (now $1,000) and $250 off of the 50″ D50U-D1 (now $500).
Dell is offering its own discounts through its website. Once again, Vizio TVs have been reduced, with $400 taken off of the new 60″ M60-CS (now $800). An LG TV, the 55″ UF6430, is also being sold for $700. In addition, the company has lowered the price of its laptops, hybrids and AIO PCs.
Walmart promises that it will not run out of stock on the day, with more than 1 million TVs on hand. The company is also investing in store safety, crowd control and other methods – such as wristbands – to avoid the mobs that often occur on the day.
Guaranteed deals – which will be delivered at these prices before Christmas if shoppers are in line between 6pm and 7pm on Thanksgiving, even if there is no stock left – include $300 off of a 55″ LG UltraHD TV; $100 off of 16GB iPad Air 2 (WiFi-only); and a 15″ HP touch laptop for $250.
$800 has been taken off of the price of a 60″ Samsung UltraHD TV ($900); $20 off a 7″ RCA tablet ($50); and $120 off oa Dell 15.6″ laptop ($280). Doorbuster deals cover a 55″ Samsung UltraHD set ($500); a 70″ Vizio set ($900); and a 55″ LG UltraHD set ($700), as well as the iPad offer listed above.
