IBM recorded a net profit in the fourth quarter of the year of $5.5 billion on turnover of $24.1 billion, which compares with a net profit in Q4 of last year of $6.2 billion on turnover of $27.4 billion. For the year IBM posted a net profit of $12 billion on turnover of $92.8 billion, which compares with a net profit for the previous year of $16.5 billion on turnover or 98.3 billion.
