Bloomberg reported that President Biden in the US is intending to tell the Federal Trade Commission to come up with new rules to ensure that consumers and independent shops can conduct product repairs. As well as high technology, the move is intended to help farmers.
Technology companies and manufacturers are lobbying against the move.
What We Think
As our readers are (usually) road warriors, I thought it interesting that the regulation is also going to mandate refunds for airline baggage that arrives late or for internet service if connections can’t be made. (BR)
