Following an announcement earlier this month, Valve’s Steam Link app is out now in beta form for Android TV. A release for iOS — including Apple TV devices — is also imminent. (Steam Link App will Stream PC Games to iOS and Android Devices)
The company has released further details of the app and its functionality, including image quality. The app will stream PC games at 1080p and 60fps by default, via H.264 encoding, but is also capable of outputting Ultra HD resolution at 60fps, providing the user has a PC with the requisite processing power and graphics capabilities.
