BenQ has released a 27″ monitor aimed at photographers and supporting AdobeRGB (99%) by virtue of its IPS panel. The monitor also supports sRGB and has a “black and white” mode. Resolution is 2560 x 1440 and brightness is 350 cd/m² with 1,000:1 native contrast although dynamic contrast is also supported. The monitor is said to support 10 bits of colour, although it uses a 14 bit LUT for calibration. Delta E is claimed at less than 2 at factory calibration.
Inputs include DVI-D and HDMI1.4 as well as DisplayPort 1.2. Other features are in line with BenQ’s range and include “Low Blue Light” and “Flicker Free” operation. Height adjustment is 130mm and the monitor has an optional shading hood. Backlight life is quoted as 30,000 hours.
US pricing is $800 and availability is this month.
