BenQ Helps Out Small-Screen Gamers

BenQ is launching a desktop monitor specifically designed for console gamers who prefer a smaller screen. The 27″ RL2755HM has a 1ms response time, colour settings calibrated for console use (with 20 levels of variance) and a rubber finish on the stand to hold gamepads. A hook on the rear supports headset storage.

BenQ’s Black Equalizer brightens dark scenes without over-exposing white areas, and is built into the monitor. The RL2755HM also features a Fighting Mode, through which gamers can access specific colour calibration settings to highlight the characters in combat. Additionally, users can select several different virtual screen sizes, ranging from 17″ to 27″.

As with many of the newest desktop monitors, the RL2755HM incorporates low blue light and flicker-free technology.

A TN panel provides 1920 x 1080 resolution, 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 170°/160° viewing angles. Brightness is 300 cd/m², with two 2W speakers and ports for HDMI (x2), DVI and VGA.

BenQ will launch its console monitor next month, starting at €210 ex VAT.
