BenQ Brings Short-Throw to Triple-Flash Projector

BenQ’s TH682ST projector is a short-throw version of the TH681 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 8). Able to be placed on a wall, floor or ceiling, the 1DLP projector can throw a 100″ image from 1.5m away.

As a DLP unit, the TH682ST features TI’s BrilliantColor technology, producing 10-bit colour images. It also shares the triple-flash 3D 144Hz framerate introduced on the TH681, as well as wall colour correction. BenQ’s power-saving features (No Source Detected and Smart Eco mode) lower the projector’s energy use and extend the life of the 210W lamp to between 4,000 and 8,000 hours.

Resolution is 1920 x 1080, with 3,000 lumens of brightness and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio. Throw ratio is 0.69-0.76:1; the TH682ST can throw a 60″ – 300″ image. It has a 1.1x zoom and +/-40 deg vertical keystone adjustment.

HDMI, VGA, composite, USB-B and RS232 ports are featured, alongside a 10W speaker. The TH682ST measures 312 x 248 x 105mm and weighs 2.8kg. It is available now for
