BenQ Avoids Screen Burn

An OPS slot makes BenQ’s newest signage display, the SL461A, flexible and cable-light. A mini-PC or signage player can be fitted directly in the OPS slot and plug into the display, saving room.

Because it is designed for signage, the 46″ unit is able to operate 24/7, with a lifetime of 50,000 hours. An anti-image retention function pr371 screen burn. A scheduling feature can be used to set up to seven on/off times for the display. Energy saving is made possible through a built-in ambient light sensor. Picture-in- and picture-by-picture modes are supported.

DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI (in/out), VGA, composite, component, RS232 and RJ45 ports are featured. Daisy-chaining is possible via DVI or VGA (the display has 15mm bezels for use in a videowall).

BenQ’s SL461A has 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 6.5ms response time and 178 deg viewing angles. Brightness is 500 cd/m² and refresh rate is 60Hz. The panel is a 10-bit unit with 72% NTSC coverage. Two 10W speakers are also integrated.
