BBC Micro Returns to UK Schools

The BBC, working with ARM, Microsoft and Samsung, has finalised the design of a tiny computer, which will be supplied – for free – to every Year 7 schoolchild (11 year-olds) in the UK this September. The Micro:bit, like the Raspberry Pi, is an attempt to teach more young people about coding and computers.

The Micro:bit is almost 620 times lighter than the 80s-era BBC Micro!
