The BBC in the UK has launched a live restart feature for most smart TVs manufactured from 2012 onwards. Now, when a user switches to a BBC channel part way through a programme, a prompt will appear for them to press the green button on their remote control, which will automatically load the iPlayer app and play the programme from the start.
Live restart is available now on BBC One, BBC One HD, BBC Two, BBC Two HD and BBC Four, and will be rolled out to BBC Four HD at a later date.
