Barco reported sales down by 28.9% for the year of 2020 to €770 million and orders down by 32.3% over the period. The year end order book was down 13% on 2019. EBITDA dropped from €153 million to €53.6 million. As a result the full year saw a net loos of €4.4 million after €14.5 million restructuring and impairment charges. Operating expenses were reduced by 20%.
What We Think
I don’t cover a lot of financials in WBS, but Barco is interesting as it is dominated by displays, so is a good indicator of how things are going in A/V. These are tough times, that are bound to continue for some time. (BR)
