AV at Funerals – A Market Opportunity?

Coming from the secular regions of Europe, where most churches have little or no money or growth, I’m often surprised by the importance of the worship market in the US. Until I saw a recent article in a US blog recently, I hadn’t thought about the A/V potential of the funeral market. A company, Foundation Partners, based in Orlando Florida is using A/V to help those attending funerals to get more of a sense of the life of the subject of the event, with what it calls “ShareLife” that uses projection, music and scents to add to the event.

The company has a variety of themes to start the development of content and can also use the projector to show religious images and symbols.

There is a website, but it was blocked when we tried. This looks like a good business concept, perhaps alongside weddings. At several weddings I’ve been to, powerpoints have been shown! There must be a market for more professional execution. (BR)
