AUO Display Plus (ADP), a subsidiary of AUO, has secured internal approval to pursue the acquisition of Avocor Technologies USA. Both parties are now working on finalizing the acquisition’s terms.
Avocor Technologies, headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon, specializes in collaborative communication solutions. ADP makes smart displays for commercial and industrial use, think like meeting room displays or dashboards. The proposed acquisition is expected to leverage the strengths of both companies to help ADPAU expand its smart education and enterprise lines.
The acquisition plan foresees Avocor CEO Scott Hix taking on the role of General Manager of AUO Education and Enterprise Business Group and Chief Marketing Officer of ADP. The leadership teams of AUO, ADP, and Avocor, have been having conversations since 2022, setting the stage for a seamless transition once the acquisition is finalized.
