Asustek Computer announced April 2017 result with revenues of NT$27.1 billion ($896.4 million), representing a significant decline of 40% on monthly basis and also a 7% drop on a yearly basis. Of the total revenue, sales of branded products also declined by 43% on monthly basis and 10% on a yearly basis to N$23.57 billion ($780.0 million).

For the first four months of 2017, the revenues totaled NT$135.3 billion ($4.5 billion), with a drop of 9% on yearly basis. The sales of branded products also declined by 10% on a yearly basis to N$121.8 billion ($4.0 billion).

The company believes that revenues for FY17 Q2 are likely to be the lowest level for the year due to a combination of off-peak season effects, a product transition of its smartphone business line and appreciation of the NT dollar.
