Asustek has announced consolidated revenues of $3.38 billion (NT$99 billion) for the first quarter of 2018, down 9% on year. Revenues for March increased to 51% but later dropped by 10% on year to come to $1.39 billion (NT$40.8 billion).
The on-year decline in the first-quarter revenues was attributed to the appreciation of the Taiwan New Dollar. The company said that it expected its smartphone business to return to profitability by Q3.
