Asustek announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2018 with net revenues of NT$90.05 billion ($3.01 billion), a decrease of 8.3%, compared to NT$98.20 billion ($3.29 billion) in Q1 2107. Net profit for Q1 2018 was NT$2.38 billion ($80.03 million), a decrease of 35%, compared to the NT$3.65 billion ($120 million) in Q1 2017.
Looking forward to the outlook for second quarter 2018, the company expects PC and component revenues to be down by 7.5% to 12.5% and 15% to 25% respectively whereas sales of mobile devices are likely to grow 25-35% on the release of new models. For full year 2018, revenues are expected to grow 5% with gaming products likely to grow to 10% to 30%.
