A new desktop display from Asus appears to be aimed at users with multiple monitors. The Designo MX25AQ has very slim (1mm) outer bezels on the edges and top.
Winner of a 2015 iF design award, the monitor has a 25″ display with 2560 x 1440 resolution. 100% sRGB is covered, and Asus has built in eight pre-sets to optimise the display for different uses: these include Reading, Darkroom, Night View and Game.
QuickFit Virtual Scale and GamePlus software is also built in. The former shows documents and images at their actual size before printing, and can be used to overlay an alignment grid on the screen. The latter mode places one of four different crosshairs on the display. Low blue light and flicker free technology is integrated.
Asus uses an AH-IPS panel in the monitor, with 178° viewing angles and a 5ms grey-to-grey response time. Brightness is 300 cd/m². DisplayPort, MHL-HDMI and HDMI (x2) inputs are featured, as well as two 3W speakers.
