What They Say
Among the monitors that Asus launched at CES 2022 was the new PA348CGV, a 3440 x 1440 resolution IPS flat 21:9 monitor with coverage of 98% of DCI-P3 and with 400 cd/m² of output. Refresh rates are supported up to 120Hz. The monitor is Calman-verified and has a Delta-E value of less than two. There are dual HDMI ports, a DisplayPort interface and there is an integrated USB hub with 90W of charging via USB Type-C.
US pricing of $689 was published, with expected availability in Q1 2022.
What We Think
I’m not sure I’d want to use a flat 34″ monitor, but the lack of curve will make the monitor much cheaper to produce. The unit doesn’t seem to be certified to DisplayHDR 400, but that may just be an issue of time. (BR)
