The new Asus ZenBeam L2 smart portable LED projector is a sleek and compact device for on-the-go cinema experiences. It features Full HD 1080p resolution and is also 4K HDR compatible with 120% sRGB color gamut capability. The powerful short-throw lens enables projection of a 40-inch image from a distance of one meter but that can extend to a 120-inch diagonal image at farther distances. The operating system is Android 12 TV and it is pre-installed with Netflix.
The man feature of the ZenBeam L2 is its inherent portability. It has a leather handle and an in-built 65Wh, 6-cell battery. The battery is designed to last up to 3.5 hours of continuous video projection, which comes in at just about the time most of today’s blockbusters clock out. Audio is a 10 W Harman Kardon speaker.
For non-cinema uses, Asus has something called a Light Wall feature which offers 26 distinct built-in content options, allowing users to turn any room wall into a display, from mimicking a warm fireplace to creating an underwater ambiance, the Light Wall is a nice gimmicky way to change a room’s ambience. The ZenBeam L2 comes with features like positional auto-correct, automatic focus, and obstacle avoidance capability, wherein the device smartly resizes the projected image if an obstacle is detected. There’s also voice control using Google Assitance and built-in Chromecast support.On the connectivity front, the projector offers an HDMI port, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, with the Type-C port also supporting DisplayPort Alt mode for compatible device connections. A headphone socket is included for individual listening.
