Asus’ HC102 Windows VR headset is finally out in the wild, priced at $430. The device releases months after offerings from HP, Dell and Lenovo, amongst others, and is priced around the middle of the range. However, Windows Mixed Reality hardware, now including Samsung’s Odyssey headset, is currently on sale at Amazon.com. (Samsung Odyssey Joins Amazon.com Mixed Reality HMD Sale)
Asus’ headset offers 1440 x 1440 resolution per eye, a refresh rate of up to 90Hz and a field of view of up to 95°. It uses the usual Windows VR controllers and inside-out tracking, as well as a flip-up visor, much like Dell and Acer’s offerings.
