Asus’ latest Transformer Book hybrid tablet, the T200, features user-upgradable storage in the keyboard dock. Owners can undo a panel on the base of the device to add a 1TB HDD, in addition to the 32GB eMMC/64GB eMMC/32GB with 500GB HDD options that are available as standard.
Miracast enables content to be sent wirelessly to a larger screen, as does the micro-HDMI port on the detachable keyboard. Other ports include (keyboard) micro-USB, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, RJ45 and (laptop) micro-USB. Dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) WiFi is also built in.
The 11.6″ tablet weighs 1.5kg when docked to the keyboard and is 26mm thick – or 750g and 12mm when undocked. Battery life is up to 10.4 hours. Windows 8.1 runs on a 1.46GHz quad-core Intel Bay Trail-T processor. Resolution is 1366 x 768.
