Asus Adds OLED Notebook with Secondary Screen

What They Say

Asus has a new version of its ZenBook Pro Duo, the 15 OLED (UX582), that has a new tilting ‘4K’ secondary tilting full width touchscreen. The ‘ScreenPad Plus’ is a 14″ 3840 x 1100 IPS LCD. The main display is a 15.6″ UltraHD OLED with 440 cd/m² of output. The system has graphics up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX3070 with 8GB of GDDR6. The display is Vesa DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and is Pantone Validated.

The Duo 14 (UX482) also features ScreenPad Plus but has a FullHD LCD display with 400 cd/m² of output with 100% of sRGB which is Pantone Validated. Where the OLED version has dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, the Duo 14 has Thunderbolt 5.

There were also a range of other notebooks and a Chromebook. The TUF Dash 15 is a gaming laptop with up to 240Hz refresh for gaming.

The ProArt Display PA148CTV touch monitor is a 14″ FullHD IPS monitor, with 100% sRGB and 100% Rec. 709 color spaces, and it is Calman Verified and factory pre-calibrated to provide Delta E < 2 color accuracy. The display also features a 10-point multi-touch panel, which has an anti-glare film to reduce distractions. It has dual USB-C ports that support power input as well as a microHDMI. The Asus Dial is a physical dial at the rear of the display that allows users to control compatible Adobe software and Microsoft Surface Dial features, enabling adjustments while staying focused on the task at hand.

What We Think

We missed this earlier, but given that the press release was 3,000+ words, I’m not surprised. Clearly the PR company was on a ‘per word’ rate! (BR)
