Statistics from Localytics – an app marketing and analytics firm – has shown where Apple’s iPhone 6S had the biggest impact. While 13 million models were sold worldwide on the phone’s opening weekend, adoption speed varied by market.
According to Localytics, Asian consumers were the fastest to purchase the iPhone 6S. After two weeks, the 6S and 6S Plus represented 2.6% of the global iPhone installed base – but 6% in Japan, and 5.8% in Hong Kong. 3.6% of iPhone users had taken the new model in the USA.
It was also found that the iPhone 6S is more popular than the 6S Plus, which represented less than 33% of sales in all 12 launch markets.
