Apple Working on Fix for Cold Temperature Freeze

Apple is working on a software update for the iPhone X, after several users reported an issue where the screen becomes unresponsive in cold conditions.

The company recommends an optimal usage temperature of between 32 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit for the iPhone X, but some users claim that their device has temporarily stopped responding to touch inputs in temperatures as high as 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

In an official statement, an Apple representative said:

“We are aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment. After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again. This will be addressed in an upcoming software update”.
