While some sources suggest that Apple may announce the next Apple Watch Series 3 in September, a Chinese language source has said that mass production will not start until Q4. The report said that the watch would still be made by Quanta and will be in 38mm and 42mm sizes and with or without LTE alongside the standard Wi-fi connectivity.
Analyst Comment
Given that Apple likes to be able to announce products with ready availability, if this report of the production status is correct, it’s unlikely that the Watch will be announced in September.
