Apple to likely overtake Samsung in OLED smartphone shipment this year

What They Say

Quoting UBI Research, The Elec said that Apple used more OLEDs in its smartphones than Samsung in the first half of the year (between 60 and 64 million against 55 to 56 million). The Apple ones were all flexible displays, while Samsung used both flexible (13-14 million) and rigid (42 million) displays.

According to Counterpoint Research, Apple sold over 100 million units of the iPhone 12 series in the seven months since they were released. Apple is said to have ordered 90 million panels for the iPhone 13, up from 75 million last year.
